History of BLUE and RED chip manufacturers
AMD and Intel are the two largest manufacturers of microprocessors for both desktop and laptop computers. For decades, they have competed to be the leading provider of CPU chips with different approaches to product lines and manufacturing technologies. Intel long dominated the market thanks to superior manufacturing processes and aggressive tactics, but AMD has fought hard for market share with more affordable prices. In recent years though, AMD has gained significant ground with their Ryzen CPUs that offer strong multi-core performance to compete with Intel's high-end Core chips at a lower cost. Both companies continue advancing process nodes to pack more cores and speed onto each new generation. Meanwhile, the competition has also spread to GPUs as AMD's Radeon graphics give Nvidia's GeForce a run. This rivalry has undeniably benefited consumers, giving them high-performance options at a variety of price points. As the needs of gaming, content creation and more intensify, AMD and Intel's innovations will remain crucial for powering all our computing demands both now and into the future.
