Each subsequent entry then pushed technical and creative boundaries, becoming bigger in scope from GTA 3 up to the sprawling worlds of GTA 4 and 5. Meanwhile, other acclaimed franchises like Red Dead Redemption, Bully and Max Payne emerged from Rockstar. The company also helped popularize downloadable episodic content early on. Beyond video games, Rockstar also ventured into film and television productions. Throughout its history, Rockstar has continually hired the industry's top talent while developing a reputation for polished, cinematic experiences that pull no punches. While also courting controversy at times, their games have undeniably shifted the medium forward. Looking ahead, fans eagerly await whatever new innovations Rockstar has in development.
